दिक्षणा dakshiṇā, s.f. The south (=dakshiṇ, q.v.);—fee for spiritual services, a present to Brāhmans on occasions of sacrifice; donation, reward, alms (esp. to Brāhmans);—a figure of the goddess Durgāin which the right side is said to be advanced.
