दास dāsa, vulg. dās, s.m. A slave, servant; a Śūdra; a suffix (orig. to the names of Śūdras, but now) to the names of all Hindūs except Brāhmans:—dāsānudās (˚sa+an˚), s.m. A slave of a slave, a servant of servants (applied in lowliness or humility by a speaker to himself):—dās-bikrī, s.f. Slave trade:—dāsdāsī, s.f. The female slave of a slave;—s.m. Male and female slaves.
