ḵẖafīf (part. n. of خفّ 'to be light'), adj. Light, of little weight; of little or no consequence; of light character, frivolous, undignified; immoral;—trivial, unimportant, insignificant; small, petty (as an offence, etc.); low, slight (as a fever):—ḵẖafīf honā, v.n. To be lowered, be regarded lightly, be disgraced; to be vilified, be spoken ill of; to be put to shame, to be or become ashamed; to be affronted.
