ḵẖārijī(rel. n. of ḵẖārij), adj. & s.m. Relating to what is external or extrinsic:—extraneous, extrinsic, not included, excluded, excepted, separate; belonging to a separate village, or community, etc. (opp. to dāḵẖilī, q.v.);—an outsider; an outcast;—a body of heretics or schismatics (who do not reckon `Alīamong the legal successors of the prophet); a member of this sect; a heretic, schismatic; a renegade.
