ḵẖātim (act. part. n. of ختم 'to seal'), s.m. orig. 'A signet-ring'; a finger-ring;—a seal, stamp, mark;—end, finish, etc. (=ḵẖātima):—ḵẖātimu`l-ambiyā,ḵẖātimu`l-mursalīn, s.m. The seal, or the last, of the prophets or apostles, the prophet Mohammad:—ḵẖātim-band, s.m. A setter of stones in rings; a seal-setter.
