झोल jhol (v.n. fr. jholnā), s.m. Puckering or bagging (as of ill-made clothes), bagginess, rumple, pucker, crease; incurvation or contraction (of a limb, etc.), palsy (=jholā) ;—a brood, hatch; a litter, farrow; a birth; a batch (of eggs);—gravy, broth, soup (=jūsh);—a wash of gold, gilding (syn. mulammā):—jhol phernā(-par), To put a wash of gold (on), to gild:—jhol-jhāl, s.m.
