जड़ना jaṛnā[jaṛ˚= S. जट(ित), rt. जट्; or jaṛnā= joṛnā], v.t. To join, attach, cause to stick or adhere; to put in, to stick on; to fix, set (jewels), stud, bestud, inlay, enchase, mount (with silver or gold, etc.); to lay on (a blow), to strike;—to make a complaint or charge against (-kī); to speak ill of:—jaṛ-jānā, v.n. To be joined, to unite, to stick or adhere; to take root, to germinate; to throw out roots:—jaṛ-denā, v.t. intens. of and=jaṛnā.
