जजमान jajmān, vulg. िजजमानjijmān, जुजमान jujmān [S. यजमानः], s.m. A person who institutes the performance of a sacrifice, employs priests for the purpose, and pays the expenses of it; a customer, a client, one who has a right to certain services (as those of the Brāhman or priest, or the barber, or shoemaker, or washerman, etc.); a client to whose custom Brāhmans, barbers, etc. have a prescriptive claim (the hereditary priest, or barber, etc., of a village must be paid his fees whether you choose to employ him or another person).
