taklīf[inf. n. ii of كلف 'to attend carefully (to)'], s.f. Ceremony; the imposition of a burthen (upon); burden, difficulty, trouble, distress, inconvenience; molestation, injury, annoyance, hardship, grievance; suffering, ailment, affliction:—taklīf uṭhānā, v.n. To experience trouble,etc.; to suffer:—taklīf pānā, v.n. Idem:—taklīf pahuṅćānā(-ko), and taklīf denā(-ko), To inflict pain (on), to trouble, incommode; to annoy, molest, etc.:—taklīf karnā, v.n. To take the trouble, to trouble oneself:—taklīf-meṅ, adv. In distress or want, etc.
