be-gār, s.m. Compelling to work for nothing; compulsory labour with or without pay; impressment of workmen, carriage, etc.;—a person forced to labour (=be-gārī):—be-gār pakaṛnā, v.t. To press into service with or without pay:—be-gār ṭalnā, v.n. To work in a half-hearted or perfunctory manner; to work carelessly.
