िबष bish [S. िवष], s.m. Poison, etc.=bis, q.v.:—bish-kanyā, s.f. lit. 'Poison-damsel'; a female who has been fed on poisons from her infancy. (Such damsels, it is said, were formerly sent by Indian princes as presents to those whom they wished to destroy, as the poisonous constitution of the girl could immediately infect and kill an unwary lover.)
