बाहा bāhā, = S باہ बाहु bāhu, bāh,s.f. The arm (=bāṅh, q.v.):—bāhu-bhūshā, s.f. Ornament worn on the upper arm, armlet:—bāhuja, bāhuj, s.m. lit. 'Arm-born'; a Kshatriya;—wild sesamum:—bāhu-dā, s.f. lit. 'Arm-giver'; name of a river said to rise in the Himālaya and probably identical with the classical Hydaspes and modern Jhelum (the name is accounted for by a legend that a saint recovered his lost arms by bathing in the stream):—bāhu-daṇḍ, s.m. An arm like, or as hard as, a staff; a blow or punishment inflicted with the arm:—bāhu-mūl, s.m. Root or juncture of the arm; arm-pit; shoulder-blade:—bāhuyuddh, s.m.
