ओट oṭ[S. वितर् , विट], s.f. A scotch, a lump of mud, or a stone or piece of wood, etc. placed under the wheel of a cart or carriage to keep it from rolling; obstruction, preventive (see next):—oṭ-bandī, s.f. Payment of a fixed amount for the use of a plough and pair of bullocks:—oṭ-lagānā, To apply a scotch (to a wheel).
