अंगूठा angūṭhā[S. अङ्गुƵ+कः], s.m. Thumb; great toe:—angūṭhā ćūmnā(-kā), lit. 'To kiss the toe'; to flatter, act the toady (to), play the sycophant:—angūṭhādikhānā(-ko), To show the thumb (to one) in defiance or derision, or to signify a desire for sexual intercourse; to trifle with; to signify 'Don't you wish you may get it' (cf. ṭhengādikhānā):—angūṭhe-pe mārnā(-ko), To regard as vile or contemptible, to hold of no account.
