अंतड़ी aṅtṛī, atṛī[S. अन्ऽ+इका], s.f. Entrail, etc.=āṅt, q.v. The plural, aṅt-ṛiyāṅ, also signifies 'vitals,' 'heart,' 'life':—aṅtṛī-kā(or aṅtṛiyoṅ-kā) bal kholnā, To undo the twist of the entrails, to eat a bellyful after starving:—aṅtṛī-meṅ(or aṅtṛiyoṅ-meṅ) bal paṛnāor paṛ-jānā, To suffer from a twisting of the entrails, to have the belly-ache:—aṅtṛiyāṅ ṭaṭolnā(-kī), To feel the stomach:— aṅtṛiyāṅjalnā, v.n. To feel a burning sensation in the stomach through hunger, to feel very hungry:—aṅtṛiyāṅqul huwa`llāh paṛhnā, lit. 'The stomach repeating, "Say, He is God"'; to have a rumbling of the stomach through hunger, to feel very hungry (=aṅtṛiyāṅjalnā):—aṅtṛiyāṅgale-meṅpaṛnā, lit. 'To have the vitals on the neck'; to fall into great trouble, to be involved in calamity:—aṅtṛiyoṅ-meṅ āg lagnā= aṅtṛiyāṅjalnā, q.v.
