अलल alal, adj. & s.m.=alaṛ, q.v.:—(the form occurs chiefly in comp.—cf. Ved. Sanskrit alalā-bhavat, 'becoming lively'):—alal-baćherā, s.m. A frisky colt or calf, a young colt;—an inconsiderate or thoughtless person, a giddy person, one who thinks only of enjoyment and pleasure:—alal-ṭappū(see ṭapnā, 'to jump'), adj. & s.m. Thoughtless; unsteady, unstable; giddy, frivolous; volatile, fickle; irregular, improper, absurd;—a thoughtless, giddy person, etc.;—adv. Thoughtlessly; at random, at a venture, by guess:—alal-jhap (see jhap), adj. Unsteady, wavering, fickle, etc. (=alal-ṭappū); untrustworthy; negligent, careless.
