आंट āṅṭ, = H ٹ ان अनट anaṭ, anṭ, [S. आ+वृ िƣ, rt. वृ त् ], s.f. Twist, turn, fold; a peculiar fold of the dhotī(q.v.); entanglement; knot, joint (of a finger, etc. cf. aṅṭī, āṅtī); mark or scratch made on silver or gold to test its purity; opposition, contrariety, antagonism, enmity; grudge; envy; jar; misunderstanding (cf. ainṭ, anṭī):—āṅṭpaṛnā(-meṅ), To become knotted or entangled; to have a feeling of antagonism, enmity, envy, etc., to be at enmity (with), have a grudge (against); to have a misunderstanding or difference (with):—anṭ-sanṭ, anṭ-kīsanṭ, adj.
