āseb, s.m. Misfortune, trouble, calamity (especially such as is the consequence of the shadow of a Jinn or demon having fallen on one); harm, injury, damage, hurt; apprehension, fear:—āseb pahuṅćānā, To bring trouble (upon); to injure, damage, hurt:—āseb pahuṅćnā, To suffer harm, etc.; to be injured or hurt:—āseb dūr-karnā, āseb utārnā, To remove or cure of disease, etc. caused by the shadow of a Jinn or evil spirit; to expel an evil spirit, to exorcise.
