नाला nālā[Prk. नालअं; S. नाल+कं], s.m. A watercourse; channel (for water), a ravine; a rivulet, brook, canal; a drain, gutter;—a furrow;—tape, string (for trousers or drawers); red thread (in these senses, com. nārā).
